avoid extra fees

1. know what you want
The site is loaded with valuable information, and a wide range of paper, ink color, font and graphic selections. Please take your time browsing through the site, then fill out the inquiry form to start the process. The more information we can get from you in the beginning, the quicker and easier the process will be for us to begin.

2. do you know what your deadline is?
All projects should be given a 3-4 week window after the final approval and all the funds are cleared. Anything needed earlier than 3 weeks is subject to individual evaluation, and charged with a 35% increase in fees (before taxes and shipping).

3. how many colors do you really need?
Each impression using a different color means another photopolymer plate, which adds another step in changing the ink color on the press bed. Most projects will use 1-2 colors, so re-consider if you need the 3rd color, or even the 2nd color. Limiting your choice of colors can reduce the cost of your project by approximately $100-$300 – depending on the scope of the project and quantity. Printing on both sides of the paper adds to the cost of the project, so consider it if is necessary to have both sides printed, or if you need the additional color.

4. shipping options
Research your shipping options. Even though Cilantro uses Fedex Ground, we are more than happy to accommodate your needs. You will need to let us know before we make the final invoice, so we can calculate the final shipping charge.
If you set up ahead of time, you are more than welcome to pick up your project from the studio!

5. rounds of edits
Three rounds of edits are allowed after the initial design pdf/file is sent/mailed to you. If you require more than three rounds of edits, there is a charge of $75/edit. We will allows let you know when you have exceeded the three rounds of edits BEFORE we send you the final invoice.

6. paper selection
Cilantro uses Lettra paper, by Crane & Company for the personalized products. If you would love to use letterpress, but cannot afford the most luxurious paper, consider using other papers. French Paper Company has some excellent paper, that works
well for tight-budget projects. Please consult with us for other options as well.

7. assembly of products
If you are on a tight budget, consider assembling your wedding invitations yourself. Gather your friends together and make a night of it!
